Information

External internships are compulsory and are taught in the second semester consisting of 6 ECTS. Students will develop the internship in health centers or services, both public and private, where the role of neuropsychology specialist is widely recognized, such as hospitals, associations, foundations and residences. In these centers, students will carry out activities similar to those they will have to perform professionally as neuropsychologists.

One of the strengths of the proposal of the Master in Neuropsychology of the University of Lleida is to ensure that the external internships of the students of the master will be carried out in health centers of recognized prestige, linked directly with the university, with accreditation as a health center, with experience in training and teaching MIR, PIR and EIR, as well as other key centers for healthcare development, both health and social, in the province of Lleida. As the master’s degree is semi-face-to-face and there is the possibility of enrolling students from other places outside the province of Lleida, the coordinator of the master’s degree, together with the dean’s team, work to ensure the external internship in the place of origin of each student by making the necessary agreements for that purpose.

Regarding the development of the training activities, the face-to-face part in the internship centers will be 120 hours, where the students must actively participate in the interventions carried out in the center. Students will have 20 hours to prepare the internship report. Students will also have 10 hours of mandatory virtual tutorials with the/tutor/academic/a in which different cases seen during the internship will be worked (10 hours of self-employment), in addition to resolving doubts about the preparation of the practice report and other situations that are significant. All the formative evidences will be recorded in a report/memory of the student, which will include the evidences agreed with the corresponding tutors.

The evaluation of External Practices will consist of three types of mandatory evidence:

  • Report/report of the students where the most relevant and interesting information will be collected to assess the level of achievement of competences, as well as the review and implementation of the internship plan proposed by the collaborating center, the university and the student body.
  • Assistance and participation in individual tutorials and case studies organized for the deepening of External Practices.
  • Assessment of the/a tutor/a of the center on the attitude of the student, implementation of the proposed tasks, involvement in the center of practices and relationship with all agents related to their profession.
